Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on 5 August for its second season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. Her true passion was when she began writing and received an Emmy. Also, she won the Emmy award for outstanding hosting of a talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events, through the lens of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news program The Early Show for a 10 years. She anchors The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour morning news program during the early hours of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important reports, for The Early Show. Following the attacks of 9/11, Chen Moonves tracked down the father and lead hijacker to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves's stories feature newsmakers such as former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian, William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) and famous people like Denzel Washington. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton, the state of Ohio (1995-1997). She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS, and she was a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her senior year at the University of Southern California. Her first broadcasting job was as a desk associate to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic heros. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel were co-hosts on Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television that was awarded the Columbia du-Pont award - which looked at how the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
