Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of the genre country music, hails from the US. The singer released two singles in 2007 and an album titled Satisfied. 2013 was the year she debuted her second album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager for the Village of Riverside Illinois and has over 15 years experience as a public servant, which includes almost five years as the the Deputy City Manager for Iowa City. She is currently an Assistant Village manager. She has a variety of responsibilities which include managing the Community Development and Building Department and overseeing grants and special initiatives. Ashley's role in Riverside is to aid in the day-to-day operations of village services, and to implement the vision for strategic planning set out by the elected officials. Ashley's previous positions included municipal planning, government communications and budgeting. She also managed personnel as well as collective negotiations. The focus was also on actions to combat climate change. Ashley has the ability to draw on her experience working with a range of local and national organisations. She has also gained insight in the ways in which public organisations function. Ashley's course concentrates on leadership, management and public administration as seen from the perspective of a practicing practitioner. She focuses on ethics and strategic decision-making that adapts to the current challenges and opportunities, as well as navigating intergovernmental and community relationships provides context for aspiring as well as current leaders in public institutions.
